…and stills from the films:

so these are supposed to be the only light source in the room. there are a dozen, so it should be fine. they are like illuminated shadow boxes. or night lights. or something. either way, the idea here is that you are looking into this scene that’s split among all these containers and and and ask me about it at the exhibit…please!

…requires so much time tying up the program to import and convert that i have to force distractions. yes, force them, instead of watching the time remaining for ‘stabilization analyzing’ of a 20 minute clip.

so i turn to pinterest, among other things. and in the meanwhile, as well, i finally had the cherry cider i got from a town somewhere around these parts…

also, i made a short term plan to tackle the metal form problem. tomorrow.

you asked, but this is why it’s better sometimes to use twitter, i think.

you asked. this is what is happening.

really exciting stuff.

i have moved on to the next phase of possible solutions. this one involves patiently waiting for all the silicone to cure so i’ve hopefully got a useful seal. then my favorite! one more coat of resin to fill in the gaps.

meanwhile, i edit video.

[and understand more fully the difficulty in documenting the process, credibly, the most important aspect, but most of the time, so un-discussion-worthy.]

got the metal bent close enough and sealed the cracks. poured the resin, which cured incredibly fast. it got so hot that it shrunk the acrylic and everything came unglued from the metal.

i could tell it had the potential to be really beautiful. but i think i might’ve added too much catalyst…

so i poured it again, in multiple thin layers.
